Ethereum consensus

Separate direct ETH discussion from the broader Bitcoin sentiment proxy.

Overview

Is Ethereum consensus based only on ETH posts?

In the inspected Analyst Consensus aggregation, the ETH opinion total counts direct ETH mentions, while the directional percentage also includes BTC sentiment. The count and the percentage therefore use different populations.

Editorial example · not a market forecast

“Does the on-chain evidence support the story?”

A demand argument can lead to Apparent Demand. A profit-taking argument can lead to Adjusted SOPR. Compare the source, asset and time window before joining the two.

Methodology

How to read it.

  1. Count classified posts with an explicit ETH asset tag for the opinion total.

  2. Add BTC bullish and bearish counts to the ETH directional groups for the percentage calculation.

  3. Read the underlying posts and the BTC comparison before interpreting an ETH-specific narrative.

Interpretation limits

This is a BTC proxy, not a purely ETH-specific sentiment measure. Multi-asset posts and the aggregation window matter; the inspected function does not deduplicate the combined proxy population.
