Connect it to your assistant

It's a standard remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP, so any MCP-capable client can connect. Sign-in uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE — choose your API key for a dedicated rate limit, or go keyless on a shared pool.

Server URL

https://mcp.cryptoquant.com/mcp

Client setup

Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http CryptoQuant https://mcp.cryptoquant.com/mcp

Then complete the sign-in flow the first time the server is used.

Plans and credits

MCP access follows the same plan rules as the API — the same credit balance, the same resolution and history limits. Start free on Basic.

  • One MCP data tool call is one API call against your plan: credits are deducted per successful call and scale with the rows and data type returned — failed calls are not charged. When credits run out, calls return 402 payment_required until you top up or the monthly reset.
  • Research and Quicktake tools are free while the MCP server is in beta.
  • Rate limits are per plan. On 429 too_many_requests, back off and retry after a short delay. Signing in with an API key gives a dedicated limit; keyless access shares a pool.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the CryptoQuant MCP server?

It's a Model Context Protocol server that gives AI assistants direct access to CryptoQuant's on-chain analytics. Once connected, your assistant can look up exchange flows, miner activity, market indicators, and CryptoQuant research on its own — you just ask the question.

Which AI clients can connect?

It is a standard remote MCP server, so any MCP-capable client can connect.

Do I need a paid plan?

MCP access follows the same plan rules as the API — the same credit balance, the same resolution and history limits. See the API plans and credits for details.

Is the data live?

Yes. The server queries the same endpoints the REST API serves, so answers reflect current data. Any charts or figures shown on this page are illustrative examples, not live readings.
