XRP Binance Scarcity Index Hits Highest Level Since 2022
The XRP Binance Scarcity Index has recorded a sharp increase, reaching approximately 2.1, its highest level since 2022. This signals growing scarcity of XRP on the exchange and a decline in the amount of supply available for trading compared with previous periods. The data shows that the index has undergone a notable shift recently. After remaining in negative territory throughout September and October 2026, it recorded a rapid increase in recent days, moving into significantly positive levels in one of its strongest movements over the past four years. This development points to a decline in the amount of XRP available for trading on Binance, reflecting a relative reduction in circulating exchange supply and an increase in scarcity. If this trend continues, it could limit the amount of XRP available to traders on the platform. Notably, the index recorded several sharp declines into negative territory during 2023 and 2024 before gradually improving throughout parts of 2025 and 2026, eventually reaching its current level, marking its highest reading since 2022. A continued decline in available trading supply could alter supply-and-demand dynamics on the exchange, particularly if accompanied by increasing demand for XRP. However, the impact of this development on XRP's price will ultimately depend on demand levels, buying activity, and liquidity movements in the coming period.
