Three Signals, One Picture: Bitcoin's Supply Side Has Gone Quiet — Demand Still Hasn't Responded

MVRV Ratio measures the premium of market value over realized value — the wider the gap, the more "expensive" the market; the narrower, the closer it trades to its true cost basis. At 1.3, the ratio sits just above the green accumulation zone, stripped of any meaningful speculative premium. This is neither a bottom confirmation nor a recovery signal — it reflects a reset phase where the market is trading near realized value without having yet committed to a direction. The supply-side picture adds further clarity. When price dropped sharply in early February, miner outflows spiked to approximately ~28K BTC — miners felt the pressure and moved to sell. As price began to recover, that pressure reversed, and by mid-March outflows had retreated to 6.8K, the lowest reading in the period shown. Puell Multiple at ~0.69 tells the same story: miners are neither under stress nor extracting excess profit — they are operating within a post-halving normalization window and showing no urgency to push supply into the market. That said, there is a broader context worth considering carefully here. The persistent buying pressure created by spot ETFs, the growing adoption of Bitcoin as a reserve asset by institutional treasuries, and its increasing acceptance at the nation-state level may have structurally raised the floor of this cycle relative to previous ones. The fact that MVRV has not revisited sub-1.0 territory deserves to be read not necessarily as an incomplete reset, but potentially as a reflection of a market that no longer corrects the way it once did. If this cycle is genuinely different in structure, the classic "wait for the green zone" approach carries its own risk — the opportunity may not return to where historical precedent suggests it should. For that reason, on-chain accumulation patterns, institutional flows, and miner behavior all warrant closer attention than usual, because the signals may look familiar while the rules of the game have quietly changed.
