Ethereum NUPL on Binance Hits Its Lowest Level in 9 Months

The NUPL chart for Ethereum on Binance provides important insight into the sentiment surrounding the coins held on the platform, indicating whether they are in unrealized profit or unrealized loss territory. This indicator does not reflect the overall state of the Ethereum network, but instead focuses specifically on Binance’s reserves, making it an effective tool for gauging selling pressure or accumulation potential on the world’s most liquid exchange. Ethereum is currently trading near $1,973, while the NUPL indicator is registering a value close to -0.1689. This negative reading means that a significant portion of the Ethereum held within Binance’s reserves is currently in unrealized loss territory, a situation historically associated with reduced selling pressure, as traders tend to hold rather than liquidate their positions at a loss. Looking at the indicator’s historical behavior over the past few months, it is worth noting that the last time the NUPL reading on Binance reached similarly negative levels was around May 2025, when the market experienced a sharp correction accompanied by widespread weakness in digital asset prices. Since then, the index has mostly moved within positive territory or near zero, making the current reading one of the lowest levels recorded in approximately nine months. Therefore, it can be said that the current reading represents one of the lowest NUPL levels on Binance since last May, both in terms of value and psychological significance. This does not necessarily mean that the price bottom has been reached, but it does indicate that the market on Binance is approaching an area historically described as a potential accumulation zone.
