Binance data indicates that the supply of XRP available for trading on the platform has dropped to its lowest level this year
Data from Binance, the leading exchange by trading volume, indicates a significant shift in the circulating supply of XRP on the platform recently. The index has fallen to around 0.0271, its lowest level in 2025, reflecting a major change in the dynamics of XRP supply on exchanges compared to earlier periods in the current cycle. This index is measured by comparing the amount of XRP held on exchanges to the total circulating supply. A decline in the index suggests that more XRP is being withdrawn to private wallets, away from exchanges. This behavior is often associated with increased investor confidence or a desire to hold the coin for the medium to long term, as a decrease in the readily available supply reduces the likelihood of a sudden surge in selling pressure. When comparing price action with the index, we observe that XRP is currently trading near $2.20 despite recent declines. While the price has faced downward pressure in recent months, the continued decline in the Exchange Supply Ratio suggests that a significant portion of holders are not selling, but rather withdrawing the coin from exchanges and storing it off-exchange. This discrepancy between the price decline and the reduced supply on trading platforms reflects a disconnect between short-term market movements and the behavior of large investors or long-term holders. If this disconnect persists, it could serve as a supportive factor for the price in the medium term by easing selling pressure and reducing the amount of XRP available for direct trading.
