Fund Flow Hits Record Low as Bitcoin Holds High

The Fund Flow Ratio on Binance represents the proportion of real transfers within the total fund inflows and outflows essentially showing how much of the capital movement is genuinely related to trading activity. The most notable pattern in the chart is that periods when the Fund Flow Ratio hits bottom often coincide with Bitcoin’s price peaks. When real fund activity decreases and capital inflow to exchanges weakens, it typically signals that the market is reaching a point of saturation. In previous cycles, sharp declines in the Fund Flow Ratio were followed by major price tops, suggesting that during high price periods, liquidity tends to stagnate, speculative interest fades, and the trend approaches its final phase. Currently, the Fund Flow Ratio is near historical lows, indicating minimal fund movement and a very low level of active capital entering exchanges. Importantly, such extremely low Fund Flow levels in the past have mostly occurred after large rallies rather than before them a sign of market exhaustion and reduced trading activity. Given the present setup, this historically low Fund Flow Ratio suggests a period of calm and low volatility in the market. However, with Bitcoin’s price still holding near high levels (around $115K), it implies that whales are maintaining their positions without adding selling pressure. This could signal the early stage of a potential top formation. Considering the last peak around $126K, it is likely that Bitcoin could test or break this level in the medium term.
