๐น Ethereum Network Activity Surges โ Mean Gas Used Reaches 5-Month Peak
Ethereumโs on-chain usage is showing strong momentum again. The 7-day moving average of Gas Used (Mean) has risen to around 112K, its highest level since May 2025, according to CryptoQuant data. This increase suggests a growing demand for block space โ likely driven by higher transaction volumes, renewed DeFi activity, and more smart contract interactions. After months of gradual growth from below 90K in June, the steady climb indicates consistent engagement on the network despite market fluctuations. Historically, such rises in gas usage have often preceded bullish market phases, signaling a healthier and more active Ethereum ecosystem. This uptick may be fueled by Layer-2 integrations, DEX trading, or on-chain yield protocols regaining traction. If the trend continues, Ethereum could be entering a new cycle of on-chain expansion and increased user participation.
