What’s Happening on Binance?
1. Compared to other derivatives exchanges, Binance has shown a notably weaker trend in its funding rates. The funding rate is a useful indicator of investor sentiment, and when the exchange with the largest derivatives trading volume shows bearish sentiment, it can have a negative impact on the overall market. In particular, it’s unusual for Binance’s funding rate to remain negative for three consecutive trading days in 2025. 2. The exchange’s average deposit volume (7-day moving average) has been increasing. Despite the price decline, the average deposit volume continues to rise. If this movement isn’t supported by strong demand, there is a risk of further downside pressure. 3. The proportion of market sell orders also remains at a high level. Market sell volume is a useful metric for identifying market tops and bottoms — it tends to decrease near price bottoms and exceed 0.52 near market tops. However, even after the recent price drop, Binance’s market sell ratio still remains above 0.52. This suggests that selling sentiment among Binance traders is growing stronger.
