Binance data reveals continued seller dominance over Bitcoin, with buyers attempting to regain control

Over the past 48 hours, the Bitcoin market has witnessed significant fluctuations in Taker Volume activity on Binance the platform with the largest Bitcoin trading volume accompanied by a notable shift in trader behavior. On October 10, the price rose to nearly 122K–123K but was quickly subjected to intense selling pressure. Data shows a sharp spike in sell volume exceeding $7 billion within a single hour, along with a corresponding surge in buy volume. This indicates a fierce battle between buyers and sellers, which ended with a clear victory for the sell side, leading to a price collapse below 112K within hours. Technically, the Taker Imbalance % indicator recorded consecutive negative values throughout October 11 and into midday on the 12th, reflecting the continued dominance of selling pressure, with sell orders clearly exceeding buy orders for most of the period. However, some slight positive values were observed on October 12, which may indicate the early emergence of hesitant buying liquidity. On the price front, Bitcoin stabilized below $118,000, with timid attempts at a rebound. However, these attempts were not supported by strong buying volume, as buy-side activity remained relatively low compared to the selling peak on October 10. Data indicates that the sharp decline, which began on October 10, was the result of a strong imbalance in market orders favoring sellers. As of now, the market remains under pressure despite some signs of equilibrium appearing on October 12. The continuation of this trend depends on buyers returning with sufficient volume to regain control; otherwise, the market could be at risk of another round of decline.
