220 days under pressure : The Dollar’s decline aligns with Bitcoin’s rise
It’s now been 220 days that the DXY ($) has been trading below its yearly average, which still hovers slightly above the $100 mark. During that same period, Bitcoin has climbed from around $86 000 to over $125 000, a move that clearly reflects the broader macro context. It’s now an established fact, as the dollar loses strength, capital tends to migrate toward assets perceived as stores of value or growth opportunities This correlation does have a certain lag effect, but overall, it has proven to work quite well for BTC. Beyond the short-term price dynamics, this trend could reinforce itself over time. The ongoing erosion of confidence in traditional economies, weighed down by persistent deficits and structural inflation, continues to drive demand for non-sovereign assets. Bitcoin, and potentially other cryptocurrencies, may serve as a hedge against this dynamic, offering a way to invest outside of the dollar system and traditional fiat currencies.
