Bitcoin on Binance declines by about 10% from its all-time high is it a natural correction or a sign of looming risks?

The latest data from Binance the platform with the deepest Bitcoin liquidity indicates that Bitcoin’s drawdown from its all-time high of $122K–$124K currently stands around 10%–11%. The range reflects the difference between the intraday peak near $124K and the closing levels closer to $122K. This drawdown is deeper than the immediate post-ATH pullbacks seen previously, yet still shallow relative to major crashes. The market appears to be undergoing a moderate correction within a broader uptrend a pattern not clearly observed in 2021, when the path tended to be either a strong advance or an ensuing crash. Across 2024–2025, Bitcoin registered a series of successive all-time highs (clear run-ATH increments), confirming that we remain in the expansion phase of the cycle. By contrast, prior bear-market drawdowns reached roughly 70% – 80%; thus, the present ~10% decline is best characterized as a correction within an uptrend rather than a structural reversal. Unless the drawdown extends beyond 15% and price closes decisively below $109K–$110K, the base case remains consolidation above support followed by a retest of $118K–$122K. This outlook supports the rebuilding of open interest after this week’s decline, alongside the continued stability of funding within normal ranges. This cycle differs from 2017 (retail-led) and 2021 (rapid surge then crash). It resembles a hybrid: a strong upswing supported by institutions and spot ETFs, tempered by moderate corrections driven by derivatives positioning and funding pressure. The key takeaway is that the market may experience a sequence of moderate 10%–20% pullbacks rather than a single, capitulatory crash.
