Bitcoin Exchange Inflow (Top 10) exceeded 5,000 BTC three times in one day following the release of the US Consumer Confidence report.
The Bitcoin Exchange Inflow (Top 10) metric tracks the total BTC deposits into the top 10 exchanges. A significant increase in exchange inflows can indicate potential selling pressure, as large holders or institutions might be moving BTC to exchanges for liquidation. Key Observations from the Chart: 1- Spike in Exchange Inflow Before Price Drop * There were noticeable inflow surges before the Bitcoin price declined. * This suggests that large holders may have been preparing to sell before the price correction. 2- High Volatility in Inflows * The inflows became more volatile toward the end of the chart, coinciding with a sharp BTC price drop to $86.9K. * This could mean panic selling or strategic profit-taking by large players. Consumer confidence has declined to an eight-month low due to increasing concerns about inflation and the new tariffs imposed under a second Trump administration. Trump Tariffs & Trade War Fears: * Trump has proposed across-the-board tariffs of 10% and even 60%+ tariffs on Chinese goods, which could lead to higher prices for consumers. * Businesses may pass costs onto consumers, worsening inflation and lowering disposable income. * Retaliatory tariffs from other countries could also disrupt supply chains and impact jobs in key industries.
