Bitcoin Is Testing a Key Trader Cost Basis
The Trader On-chain Realized Price represents the average acquisition price of BTC that last moved between 1 and 3 months ago. In simple terms, it can be viewed as the average cost basis of relatively recent market participants. As of Nov. 1: Trader Realized Price: $77.14K BTC Price: $77.88K BTC is now trading only slightly above this cost basis. That makes the current area particularly important. Historically, during bullish phases, the Trader Realized Price has often acted as support when price corrected toward it. When BTC falls below this level, however, the same cost basis can later act as resistance as underwater traders use a return to breakeven as an opportunity to exit. So the key question now is how BTC reacts around $77.1K. • Holding above the Trader Realized Price would suggest that recent market participants are still broadly defending their average cost basis. • A clear break below, followed by a failed reclaim, would increase the risk that this level begins acting as resistance instead. What is also notable is that the Trader Realized Price has been rising steadily while BTC has been correcting. The gap between price and the cost basis has now narrowed significantly. This does not make $77.1K an automatic buy level. But it does make it an important area to watch for whether selling pressure is absorbed or whether recent holders begin moving into a more stressed position. For now, BTC is still above the Trader Realized Price. The next reaction around this level may provide useful information about whether the current correction remains constructive or begins to weaken the short-to-medium-term structure.
