Ethereum’s 30-Day Realized Volatility on Binance Rises to a 6-Month High
Data indicates that Ethereum’s 30-day realized volatility on Binance rose to approximately 0.73 over the past few days, marking its highest level since last March. This increase reflects a clear rise in the magnitude of Ethereum’s daily price fluctuations during this recent period. A rise in this indicator signifies that Ethereum’s price is moving more vigorously and across wider ranges than previously observed. However, this metric alone does not signal a bullish or bearish trend, as heightened volatility can result from strong price movements in either direction. Thus, the indicator reaching 0.73 reflects a phase of intense price activity and increased volatility. Subsequently, the indicator retreated from approximately 0.73 to around 0.45, representing a decline of nearly 38%. This suggests that the amplitude of price movements has begun to subside, and Ethereum’s price action has become relatively calmer and more stable compared with the period when the indicator peaked. The shift from 0.73 to 0.45 does not necessarily imply that Ethereum has entered a downtrend; rather, it indicates a reduction in the intensity of the fluctuations themselves. If the indicator continues to decline, it may reflect a gradual easing of price activity and volatility, whereas a renewed rise could signal a return to stronger market movements.
