403M XRP Leaves Binance Since May 3 as Whale Withdrawals Turn Daily
Large XRP holders appear to be moving coins away from Binance again, with exchange-side liquidity potentially tightening as the price recovers. The chart tracks daily XRP outflow amounts across multiple exchanges, but only for transactions larger than or equal to 1 million XRP. This means the data mainly reflects whale or institutional-sized wallet behavior rather than small retail withdrawals. Since May 3, Binance has recorded almost daily XRP withdrawals above the 1 million XRP transaction threshold, with total large outflows reaching roughly 403 million XRP by May 15. This is not a single isolated spike, but a repeated withdrawal pattern from one of the largest global exchanges. The shift is important because large withdrawals from exchanges often suggest that major holders are moving coins away from liquid trading venues. While this does not guarantee immediate upside for XRP, it can reduce the amount of supply available for quick selling and may point to stronger holding behavior among large investors. This behavior also marks a change from the previous pattern seen on Coinbase. Large XRP withdrawals from Coinbase were more active on specific days, especially March 27, March 30, and April 13, when XRP was trading near $1.34. Those earlier spikes suggested that large holders were already withdrawing XRP during lower price zones. Now, the activity appears to have shifted toward Binance. From May 3 onward, Binance has shown consistent large outflows, while XRP has recovered toward the $1.47 area. This makes the current structure more notable: instead of large withdrawals appearing only around isolated events, they are now showing up as a persistent trend. Historically, repeated large exchange withdrawals can be interpreted as a sign of accumulation, custody movement, or reduced short-term selling intent.
