Decline in XRP liquidity on Binance to its lowest level since 2020

The cryptocurrency market is experiencing a period of clear caution, particularly regarding XRP’s performance on the Binance platform. Data shows a significant decline in the 30-day liquidity index. According to the latest figures, XRP’s price is around $1.39, while the 30-day trading volume has reached approximately $2.74 billion, and the liquidity index has dropped to 0.038 its lowest level since 2020. This sharp decline in liquidity reflects a clear weakness in market depth, as the capacity to absorb large buy and sell orders has become limited. When liquidity reaches such low levels, the market becomes more susceptible to sharp fluctuations, as any financial inflow—even of moderate size—can lead to strong and unpredictable price movements. Despite this significant drop in liquidity, XRP’s price has remained relatively stable around the $1.39 level, creating a divergence between price action and liquidity indicators. This divergence is often interpreted as a transitional phase, where the price has not yet fully reacted to the low liquidity, or as a sign that the market is consolidating before a major move. On the other hand, the decline in the liquidity index may indicate a gradual exit by large investors or a reduction in institutional trading activity, further increasing market fragility. With liquidity at its lowest level since 2020, any sudden influx of funds could trigger a rapid rally, while continued weak demand could pave the way for sharp declines.
