Bitcoin stalls while 106K and 130k BTC heads to Binance and OKX deposit addresses

BTC has now been trading in a range for nearly three months, a phase that appears to be testing many investors. In this environment, even minor price fluctuations are enough to rapidly shift market sentiment from extreme fear to strong optimism, while the broader short term trend remains unchanged. Today, more than 106,000 BTC have flowed into deposit addresses linked to Binance, compared with roughly 130,000 BTC for OKX. These levels are well above yearly averages, which stand around 44,000 BTC for Binance and 74,000 BTC for OKX. Such activity had not been seen since the end of the previous bear market. To properly interpret this data, these are BTC transfers sent to deposit addresses identified as being connected to Binance and OKX hot wallets. In practice, when users intend to sell BTC on an exchange, funds typically move first to a deposit address before being consolidated into the platform’s operational wallets. Such a sharp rise in inflows to major exchanges like Binance and OKX suggests potential growing sell-side pressure from investors. It also reflects the current psychological state of the market, caught between hopes of resuming the uptrend and fears of suffering further losses. Markets are not always broken by volatility. Sometimes they are exhausted by consolidation.
