A Potential Trap in the Rally is Brewing
The primary drivers of this bull market are institutional capital and OGs. Therefore, data interpretation must heavily focus on whale behavior. The two charts indicate that the market is currently undergoing a phase of "New Whale Capitulation" and "Smart Money Re-accumulation." The recent drop is driven by "New Whales" cutting losses (left chart). A spike in Realized Loss typically signals a washout of weak hands and a local bottom. However, given the late stage of this cycle, buy-side strength remains to be verified. Momentum is shifting (right chart). The purple accumulation zone has flipped from negative to positive, and the Whale Total Balance (pink line) is stabilizing or ticking up despite the price drop. This divergence suggests smart money is accumulating in the 80K-95K zone amidst the panic. Additionally, the Whales' Total Balance (solid pink line, right chart), after a clear downtrend, is flattening or even slightly curling upward at the far right. While the price (black line) continues to hover at lows or decline due to inertia, whale holdings (pink line/purple area) are already recovering. This divergence suggests that smart money finds the current price level (roughly in the 80K-95K zone) attractive and is engaging in left-side accumulation amidst market panic. Conclusion: Synthesizing the current market conditions, the price is likely to form a bottom and bounce in the short term. However, since we are approaching the end of the cycle, I find it difficult to expect 2x from here or initiate another year-long uptrend. Based on the divergence patterns seen earlier this year, it is possible we will see a rally into January next year, forming a secondary high (Lower High) or challenging the previous ATH. Currently, "Old Whales" appear relatively quiet (note the orange bars, left chart). Once the price rebounds (Old Whales starting to sell off), that would likely mark the true endgame of this cycle.
