Binance Retail Inflow Percentage (%) Surge to 2-Year High Ahead of Bitcoin Price Drop

Retail investors appear to be positioning early in response to recent market movements. On-chain data show a significant increase in Exchange Inflow – specifically the Spent Output Value Bands % (SOVB) for the 0 to 1 BTC bracket on Binance. On June 15th, retail inflows spiked above 25% while Bitcoin was still trading near $105,000, which is the highest level since May 2023. A second spike occurred on June 19th, reaching 19%. Shortly afterward, Bitcoin dropped to a recent low of ~$98,200. These inflows suggest proactive behavior rather than passive accumulation. The move to deposit BTC on Binance typically signals an intention to trade, not to hold. While retail participants are often seen as lagging market movers, this time they may have been ahead of the curve. This is uncomming, but interesting behaviour.
