Bitcoin: Realized P&L (Daily, BTC)

This view shows the profit and loss Bitcoin holders actually realized each day, measured in BTC rather than dollars.

Denominating in BTC removes the distortion of price appreciation, so activity across different eras can be compared directly. A day with heavy realized losses in dollar terms may be unremarkable once expressed in coins.

Single days rarely mean much on their own. Sustained periods of realized losses alongside falling price point toward capitulation; a run of large realized profits during an advance points to distribution.
