Bitcoin: Realized Price

Chart Description

Realized Price divides Bitcoin's Realized Capitalization by the total circulating supply, producing the average cost basis of all BTC in existence weighted by the price at which each coin last moved on-chain. It represents what the aggregate market paid for its coins - making it one of the most structurally significant price levels in on-chain analysis.

When Bitcoin's spot price trades above Realized Price, the average holder is in profit - a condition typical of bull market environments where unrealized gains create selling incentive as the gap widens. When spot price falls below Realized Price, the average holder is underwater, historically a rare and high-conviction buying zone that has marked major cycle bottoms. The Realized Price level itself tends to act as a macro support during bull markets and a key resistance level to reclaim during recoveries.

Unlike simple moving averages, Realized Price is grounded in actual on-chain transaction history rather than price alone - making it a more economically meaningful reference point for identifying where the market is likely to find structural support or resistance across cycles.
