Aave: Exchange Inflow (Top10)

Chart Description

Exchange Inflow (Top 10) tracks the combined volume of the ten largest inflow transactions to exchanges within a given period, isolating the behavior of the market's biggest movers from the broader flow of routine deposits.

When this metric spikes, it signals that large holders - often referred to as whales - are making concentrated, high-volume deposits onto exchanges. Because large deposits are more likely to precede significant sell orders, elevated Top 10 inflow values have historically been associated with increased selling pressure and short-term downward price risk. The metric is particularly useful for identifying sudden shifts in whale behavior that may not be visible in aggregate inflow data.

For stablecoin Top 10 inflows, large concentrated deposits indicate significant buying power entering exchanges, which can signal incoming demand rather than sell pressure.
